Nhi and Tiff didn't exactly start off as best friends. In fact, they spent freshman year giving each other THAT judgmental stare from across the room - you know the one. But everything changed in their sophomore year during cost accounting class (where Nhi was that one friend who tilts her paper just right), of all places. They ended up sitting next to each other - reluctantly at first, but then one sarcastic comment turned into a conversation, and somehow that grew into years of inside jokes, deep talks, and more laughter than Tiff can count. Nhi has been her rock, her reality check, and the friend Tiff never saw coming. But now, she can't imagine life without Nhi. Even though they started with side-eyes, they've ended up side by side.

Rob and Lawrence have known each other for over 23 years. Lawrence feels every bit of that long cumbersome relationship. But in all seriousness, he’s Lawrence’s oldest, most trustworthy and reliable friend. When he took the career leap from professional Sandwich Artist to enlisting into the military, they became barracks roommates in 29 Palms, leading the inaugural class of a new occupational field called Tactical Data Systems, as Lance Corporals (and eventually Non-Commissioned Officers) in the United States Marine Corps. Lawrence and Rob Thomas (no relation to the Grammy-winning singer) might’ve gotten along so well from the start because they’re cut from the same cloth -- first generation Asian Americans with a shared sense of responsibility to God, family, country, and Corps. Rob is a rock and a testament to his friends, his community, his country (he builds jets for our military), and his beautiful family. He is the real deal, as solid as they come. He’s who you want for a wingman, like Tom Sawyer with Huck Finn. He’s the guy you want in the foxhole with you when you’re on the frontlines behind enemy territory. Lawrence would trust this man with his life. That’s why he’s proud and honored that Rob is his Best Man.

Caitlyn - The only bridesmaid that Tiff has known her whole life (a.k.a her niece). There's a saying that goes, "Having a niece is like having a broke-ass best friend who thinks you're rich - raiding your closet, ordering champagne, and acting like your credit card has no limit." Anh honestly, that couldn't be more true. BUT at the end of the day, Caitlyn is always ready to bring the fun. More importantly, she's the one Tiff can count on when she need real support, her biggest hype woman, her rock when things get stressful, and the one who keeps the family grounded, and the vibe joyful.

Lawrence and Hann have known each other for over 20 years, since Lawrence’s sister Marilyn introduced them after Hann enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Since then they’ve been like brothers, not just in “esprit de corps” but also in their shared ancestral background. They’re both of Chinese-Cambodian heritage, with their separate family lineages tracing back to the island of Hainan. It’s a small world indeed, and Hann and Lawrence somehow found each other on the opposite side of the globe from where their families originated. Despite this coincidence, and the fact people have even commented on their physical resemblance, Hann and Lawrence are not blood relatives. (That they know of.)_ If it weren’t for Hann, Lawrence might never have met his beautiful bride-to-be Tiffany. They were out on one of their bonding and drinking nights at Holman bar in Midtown. Hann played his role perfectly, chatting up Tiffany’s friend while Lawrence strolled up later to request an introduction to her lovely lady friend. The rest is history. Hann is beloved amongst our friend group, evidenced by the legion of pals that come out whenever he makes the occasional trek from New York City back home to Houston. We’re grateful he’s making this long trip to the other coast to celebrate with us!

Danielle and Tiff met through work at Pilot, but Danielle quickly became so much more than a coworker, she's Tiff's big-little sister. She's the one who's always looking out for Tiff, making sure she's okay, and somehow bringing calm to any chaos. Whether it's lunch days, vent sessions, or sending the perfect text at exactly the right moment. Danielle has that nurturing soul wrapped in a fun sized package. Having Danielle as Tiff's bridesmaid is a no-brainer - she's the perfect mix of love, laughter, and fierce loyalty...and honestly, life's just more fun (and a lot more sane) with her around.

Lawrence (aka Larry) and Kevin have known each other for over two decades. Although Lawrence does not have an athletic bone in his body (due to a congenital motor coordination defect), he always loved participating in sports and Kevin was a kindred spirit who was kind enough to invite him to his basketball pickup games. Over the years, they learned that they had much more in common than shooting hoops... they shared a deep sense of family honor, personal accountability, political fervor, and obsession with self-actualization (among many other things). Since Lawrence moved back to Houston, they’ve become tighter knit to the point Lawrence feels he can count Kevin as a brother. He looks forward to the day that he can beat Kevin in pickleball. Ever since he married into the extended family, Kevin has been a great example to the rest of us as a duty-driven, scrupulous, and conscientious family man.

Kham and Tiff didn't meet in the most traditional way - their exes actually brought them together, which just proves that sometimes breakups lead you to the best people in your life. Kham is always down for wine nights and weekend mimosas, the friend Tiff can always count on, even if they're not out painting the town every weekend. Loyal, low-key, and full of love, Kham is more than a bridesmaid, she's family.

Philippe and Lawrence have known each other for a decade, having been introduced by their mutual drinking buddy Hann. They arrived in Texas about the same time, with Philippe moving from Hawai’i not long before Lawrence left Europe behind to come home to Houston. These were the best of times... a trio of bachelors in their prime with cash to burn while painting the town red. In the time they’ve known each other, Philippe has made impressive career advancements that are a great inspiration, from saving lives in E.R. trauma centers to now practicing as a CRNA. Lawrence often likes to say Philippe is living out every bachelor’s dream, jet-setting around the globe and enjoying life to the absolute fullest.

Tiff couldn’t imagine celebrating this special day without Marilyn by her side. From the moment Tiff joined the family, Marilyn has welcomed her with so much love, laughter, and support. It’s true what they say — you don’t just gain a husband through marriage, you gain a sister too. Having Marilyn stand beside Tiff on this special day means the world, and she’s so excited to share this next chapter with someone who has become such an important part of her life.

Lawrence and Jay have known each other since Jay became a welcome addition to the family over a decade ago. Marilyn first broached the subject of this new guy she was dating when she asked her brother, “Have you ever heard of this obnoxious Bill Simmons guy?” The answer was affirmative, as Jay and Lawrence have always shared a fanatical and sometimes unhealthy passion for sports. The family gatherings often consist of animated, hilarious discussions of athletics, culture, and politics. On the latter topic, Jay frequently submits in defeat to Lawrence’s superior debating prowess. The levity he brings to the family dynamic is always appreciated, but Jay is not only one of the funniest people we know, he's also a reliable and upstanding husband and father. Lawrence had the honor of being a groomsman at Jay’s wedding as well (many moons ago). He expects this tradition of returning the favor to continue when Jay’s son Rhett (our Ring Bearer) is ready for marriage one day.
